Technical Service Mechanic

For our location in Oosterhout, we are looking for a Technical Service Mechanic. As a Technical Service Mechanic, you play an important role in keeping our production lines running, which produce and package our products on a daily basis. You do this together with colleagues in a modern machine park with automated processes. You ensure that any breakdown in the bakery or packaging department is quickly resolved so that production downtime is minimized. At the same time, you work on structural solutions, inform colleagues, and coordinate with them on how to best operate the machine or line to prevent future malfunctions and work as efficiently as possible.

De Kroes Tasty Bakeries is a leading international player in the production and sale of delicious products such as (cheese) crackers, toasts, breakfast crackers, pastry, and many other sweet and savory treats. We have four factories located in the Netherlands, France, and Germany, employing around 200 colleagues. Our products are mainly sold in supermarkets across Western Europe, but you can also find them beyond.

Who are you?

You are a technician with a passion for both mechanical and electrical engineering challenges. Someone who takes responsibility, is proactive, and eager to learn. You have good communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with colleagues as well as with external partners. With your technical insight, you help ensure the production process runs smoothly and that our delicious products keep coming off the production line.

What will you do?

Quickly and professionally resolve malfunctions (electrical and mechanical).
Analyze and prevent recurring malfunctions.
Support, train, and assist operators with technical issues.
Carry out preventive maintenance on machines.
Contribute to improvements.
Record performed maintenance, used materials, and special notes in the technical service system.

What are we looking for?

A MBO diploma in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering.
Experience as a mechanic in the process industry is an advantage.
Knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Willingness to participate in on-call service.
A mechanic with a strong focus on safety and quality.
